Testing
Canopy provides mechanisms in your test environment for you to be able to understand how the state of your portfolio evolves.
Overview
You will have a unique, single tenant UAT environment that mirrors your production environment.
Testing credit and lending systems is a bit more complex than testing most software, due to the passage of time. In production, as time eclipses, it impacts the state of your lending portfolio - for instance, statements are generated or late fees are assessed. In testing environments, however, you can't wait for 30 days to see if a part of the system is behaving as expected. Canopy provides mechanisms in your test environment for you to be able to understand how the state of your portfolio evolves, both from your interaction with the system, as well as with the natural passage of time.
This section walks through best practices for developing against and validating the behavior in Canopy's system within your test environments.
